Job Description
Reports To : Beverage Manager, Food & Beverage Director
General Purpose : The Bar Back supports the bartender with a primary responsibility of restocking glasses, beverages, ice, etc.
The Bar Back must always be one step ahead of bartender's needs by keeping bar area clean, well-stocked, and organized and constantly looks for opportunities to learn more about beverages and to help other staff.
Specific Responsibilities :
- Familiar with and knows the location of every item in inventory.
- Assists / executes any and all tasks as assigned by bartender.
- Stocks bar to par level before and after each shift.
- Stocks bar service area.
- Communicates with bartenders throughout shift.
- Reports to work on time and ready to work scheduled shift.
- Maintains a positive, friendly attitude with co-workers & guests.
- Maintains a clean, orderly appearance of the restaurant service area.
- Assists / executes any and all tasks as assigned by other supervisors.
- Follows all proper sanitation guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.
Qualifications
Able to work flexible hours (nights, weekends).
- Can lift heavy items, sometimes overhead.
- Responsible, dependable, punctual.
- Good communication skills; must be able to speak, read, and understand English.
- Clean and professional appearance.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm for all things 21c.
- Must pass a background check.
Education / Formal Training :
High school or equivalent education required.
Physical Requirements :
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
