The Maintenance Engineer will maintain the entire hotel facility, including the physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and related equipment in accordance with energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs.

He / She will collaborate with other departments to ensure the upkeep of all guest areas.

General Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Visually assess the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the physical structure(s) of the hotel, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and any other related equipment.
  • Verify completion of all assigned routine maintenance or other tasks on public spaces, meeting rooms, ballrooms, outlets, back of the house spaces, and grounds.

Verify completion of all repairs, replacement, and renovation projects to offices and employee work areas.

  • Follow prescribed safety procedures for personnel and equipment by the company and OSHA.
  • Maintain effective Energy Management and Preventive Maintenance programs and conduct special training, as directed, for other operating departments on the safe and efficient use of equipment and energy in the hotel.
  • Inform the Area Director of Engineering on a regular basis regarding the specific and overall condition of the building structure(s), related systems, and equipment offering prudent, cost effective proposals for maintaining these systems.

Access and input information into a computer and generate reports.

Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors and / or Managers.

Licenses or Certificates : Ability to obtain and / or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits.

Scheduling Availability : OPEN AVAILABILITY must be able to work any shift.

Physical Requirements :

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment
