Job Description

REPORTING TO / DEPARTMENT :

Reports to the Director, Delivery Software.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Technical expertise in software development, IT operations, and DevOps tools and technologies.
  • Creating, managing and debugging application builds in a variety of platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and services, as well as experience in managing cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Building, maintaining, and implementing new development tools and infrastructure using IaC.
  • Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying them to developers
  • Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
  • Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
  • Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
  • Familiarity with security best practices and the ability to implement security measures in the software development lifecycle.
  • Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes
  • Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended

QUALIFICATIONS :

Preferred or Desired :

  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Excellent problem solving / troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working in an FDA regulated environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience Administrating Jira, GitHub, Jenkins or similar tools
  • Experience with creating and managing virtual environments
  • Familiarity with package management solutions
  • Experience with cloud deployments using Azure b

Required :

  • Bachelor of science degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or relevant field
  • Experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role
  • Proficiency with Git or another source control system
  • Excellent computer skills, including the use of automation tools, scripting languages (ie : PowerShell, Python), networking systems and utilities, etc.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment is essential

PAY TRANSPARENCY

The range for this position is $111,500 - $153,500. Each candidate's compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, future potential and internal pay parity.

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Accuray Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission / bonus.
