Overview
Staff Electrical Engineer - Water / Wastewater
Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments. Location ideally Irvine, Los Angeles, San Marcos or Murietta Metropolitan areas.
Responsibilities
- Lead Electrical design for water / wastewater projects
- Provide technical guidance on client standards and expectations to engineering and technician staff in the regional design centers supporting project detailed design
- Serve as technical expert in electrical power distribution and miscellaneous plant electrical systems for client consultations
- Support business development related to enhanced Electrical services
- Build business relationships with clients to understand needs and drivers
- Studies – Energy Optimization, Power System Coordination and Arc Flash Hazard Analysis, and Electrical Reliability Analysis
- Construction inspection and resolution of electrical construction issues
- Coordinate with local electrical utilities on project technical needs
- Review of supplier submittals
- Act as a liaison between the local design team, client and remote design teams for Instrumentation and Control design
- Startup and testing of major electrical equipment
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer's license in CA or another US jurisdiction5-8 years in electrical design, planning and construction servicesConsulting and Water / Wastewater experience preferredExperience in medium and low voltage power distribution equipment, including variable frequency drives and standby diesel generatorsUnderstanding of PLC hardware and software setup, network configuration, HMI, SCADA system, instrumentation and fiber optic cablingExperience in a client-facing / business development rolePower system analysis experience in SKM, ETAP, or other analysis software a plusMinimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited programMinimum of 5 years related work experiencePre-employment onboarding requirements may include background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, as applicable by lawCertifications

The following compensation range is applicable for the job and location : $126,423.00 - $239,925.00.
