The Boring Company was founded to solve the problem of soul-destroying traffic by creating an underground network of tunnels.
Today, we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions.
Responsibilities
- Apply a first principles approach to design production : simplify requirements, delete unnecessary process steps, optimize, accelerate production, and automate.
- Apply advanced knowledge of local building codes, ADA guidelines, zoning, and other laws to coordinate project design with engineering teams using collaborative BIM software and manage design and permits for new tunneling projects.
- Support project meetings for effective communication and issue resolution, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Develop and manage drawing production templates to standardize Revit practices and automate routine tasks.
Basic Qualifications
- Professional degree in Architecture.
- 4+ years of professional design experience on commercial projects.
- 2+ years using Revit in a professional office.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD & Civil 3D, including the ability to develop detailing, Revit schedules, families, and shared parameters.
Preferred Qualifications
- Nevada licensed Architect or eligible for license reciprocity.
- Experience in engineering coordination, construction administration, or design-build work environments.
- Scripting experience with visual programming automation tools (Dynamo and Grasshopper).
- Proficiency in visualization tools such as Lumion, Enscape, V-ray, Keyshot, Unreal, or Twinmotion.
