Position : Tech Transactions & Data Privacy (Incident Response) Associate
Location : Open to All Offices (Preference for Los Angeles, CA)
Job Overview :
One of our top law firm clients is seeking a talented and motivated Tech Transactions & Data Privacy (Incident Response) Associate to join their team.
This position is open to all the offices, with a preference for the Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have significant litigation experience and a strong interest in privacy law.
Experience in privacy litigation is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage all elements of case work-up and trial preparation in litigation matters.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft legal documents, including briefs, complaints, pretrial motions, memoranda, and discovery requests.
- Provide counsel on sophisticated privacy and tech transaction matters, offering practical and strategic advice to clients.
- Stay informed on federal, state, and international privacy laws, applying this knowledge to client matters.
- Engage in immediate client interaction and contribute to the development of client strategies.
- Work collaboratively within the team to support and grow the firm’s national practice.
Qualifications :
- Significant litigation experience, with a strong ability to manage cases from inception through trial preparation.
- Strong legal research and writing skills, with experience drafting a variety of legal documents.
- Knowledge and experience with federal, state, and international privacy laws are highly desirable.
- Excellent academic credentials and experience in a law firm or similar environment.
- Superior writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ambition, drive, and a team-oriented attitude to help grow and support the national practice.
