Job Description
1. 35% - Partners with transplant services staff to manage transplant-specific data from
Epic / Phoenix, UNOS, SRTR, and other transplant-related sources for analysis. Develop,
test, and maintain reports utilized through Epic / Phoenix.
2. 15% - Ensure data entry accuracy and data integrity by report generation and education
for transplant services staff.
3. 5% - Develop and maintain detailed project plans for system development,
deployment, and ongoing support.
4. 5% - Develop and implement testing scenarios and processes to validate system,
enhancements, and upgrades.
5. 5% - Perform proactive and reactive data analysis to identify and support the
implementation of quality improvement activities and CSU-balanced scorecards.
6. 5% - Provide analytical support / ad hoc support (such as use of statistical software).
7. 5% - Develop workflow systems and information tools that support transplant services.
8. 25% - Proficiency at analyzing complex clinical user workflow for inpatient and outpatient environments.
Ability to identify and develop effective technical solutions to support complex clinical
workflow. Experienced at supporting enterprise-class transactional computer systems.
Knowledge of security issues and regulations associated with clinical data. Experience
developing and managing project timelines. Experience analyzing and documenting
operational workflow.
Knowledge of technology applications, advanced software programming, database
structures, and data integration methodologies. Proficiency at configuring, testing,
implementing, and troubleshooting problems with complex computer programs and
systems.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Excellent presentation skills.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Education - Work requires an Associate in Computer Science or equivalent technical
training, or non-technical Bachelors.
Experience - Two years of data management, research, or medical experience OR an
equivalent combination of relevant education and / or experience.
Job Skills - Strong technical skills including programming experience (required).
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills (required).
Clinical experience (preferred), transplant experience (preferred)
Experience with SAP Crystal Reports (preferred).
Knowledge and experience related to accreditation and regulatory affairs (preferred)
Experience with statistical analysis and related software applications (preferred)
Excellent interpersonal, as well as written and verbal comm (required) SQL and SAS
programming skills (preferred)
Licensing / Certifications
Skill sets include Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to produce data in
grafts and trends. format.
Experience working with clinical information and knowledge of medical terminology and
health care preferred.
Proven attention to detail and a high accuracy rate are critical.
Ability and willingness to function effectively in a team environment and to work on multiple
competing deadlines concurrently.
