About The Role
SUMMARY
Assists the assistant branch manager / operations officer with daily branch duties. Will be responsible for operating a teller drawer and opening new accounts as needed.
In the absence of the assistant branch manager / operations officer the branch support specialist will oversee / coordinate staff duties in all areas of the branch.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- May perform daily Teller or New Accounts functions.
- Delegates duties to appropriate staff.
- Approves large deposits within assigned deposit limits.
- Verifies holds placed and releasing of holds in guidance with Reg CC.
- Compiles and gathers reports needed for branch.
- Develop and train employees in teller and new account functions and banking
- Verifies branch cash is within specified
- Balances vault cash, ATM cash - updates (assists) on policies and
- Ability to effectively deal with customers.
- Assist in tracking and reviewing accounts opened in branch and online.
- Ensures staff is following Haberfeld customer service procedures.
- Completes monthly branch
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
- Other duties as assigned by management
About You
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- Must have four years prior banking experience and one year in a supervisor role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY :
- Must have the ability to work in a professional and confidential manner
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Possess a high degree of investigative, analytical skills be detail orientated
- Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Word
- Excellent communications skills and the ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to positively promote our organization to customers and co-workers.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
WORK ENVIRONMENT : Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators.
Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management.
Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include : The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as : preparing and analyzing data and figures;
transcribing; viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading.
