Raytheon is seeking an experienced professional Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) Systems Assurance Engineer (SysAE) for our primary work location in Tewksbury, M.
The SysAE will collaborate with program managers, program chief engineers and other program leads, working as a trusted partner with the program office and other functions.
The SysAE will support the LADS Systems Assurance team to ensure delivered products and services meet customer and Raytheon requirements, identify and document technical / programmatic gaps, support independent assessment of system and mission readiness, and foster meaningful program relationships for future alignment.
This is an onsite position.
What You Will Do
- Develop partnerships with Program leaders, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and Supplier Teams to lead / support failure investigations.
- Assess technical risk of non-conformances requiring critical thinking and analytical skill.
- Planning, coordination, and follow through of technical assessments and corrective actions.
- Support independent gate reviews.
- Communicate and translate technical data packages.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality & Mission Assurance, and the Programs (EOSQP) to communicate and drive RCCA.
- Conduct process and product surveillance of all program activities, including system development through the whole life cycle, system maintenance, operations, and sustainment activities.
- 10% travel as required .
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant.
- Work experience that displays knowledge and execution of systems engineering and systems engineering activities to include requirements flow down and requirements gap analysis.
- Work experience in development / usage of quality metrics that may be used to drive true root cause and long-term corrective action, and in the identification / institution of perceptive verifications.
- Work experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9102), and / or quality sciences / statistical analysis processes and tools.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.
S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Knowledge and experience in the effective use of Root Cause Corrective Action containment and analysis process and tools (fault tree, fish bone, 5 Why’s).
- Experience in risk mitigation and opportunity management.
- Experience with AS9145 (APQP / PPAP) requirements and implementation.
- Knowledge of Raytheon policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of product life cycle from design through sustainment.
- Experience with Integrated Product Development Systems / Integrated Product Development Process (IPDS / IPDP / Stages).
- Raytheon CORE qualified or demonstrated skill.
- Ability to technically interface with various engineering disciplines.
- Experience in requirements and interface development.
- Experience interfacing and communicating with all levels within an organization.
- Experience supporting business and functional deliverables.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and apply decision making skills.
- Experience leading groups or teams.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
