This 12-month contract provides an hourly rate ranging from $35 to $45, based on your experience and expertise, ideal for a professional who is enthusiastic about renewable energy and sustainable practices.

About the Role :

In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of large-scale solar PV installations.

Your duties will involve conducting maintenance checks, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to enhance system efficiency.

This position offers a great mix of fieldwork and customer interaction, perfect for someone who enjoys a hands-on approach to problem-solving and client service.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform routine and emergency maintenance on solar PV systems to ensure peak operational performance.

Troubleshoot and repair system malfunctions, providing quick and effective resolutions to minimize downtime.

Analyze system data to identify performance trends and areas for improvement.

Collaborate with technical teams to share insights and develop best practices in system maintenance and troubleshooting.

Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, documenting system performance and service histories.

Engage with customers to provide technical support and education on system operation and maintenance.

Requirements :

Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer, particularly in the solar energy or a related technical field.

Strong technical and diagnostic skills, with a thorough understanding of solar PV systems.

Excellent communication skills, capable of delivering high-quality customer service and technical explanations.

Willingness to travel around the Hartford area and work in outdoor environments.

A degree or certification in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or similar technical discipline is preferred.
