Location : Various locations across Washington

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), you will serve as an expert clinician, educator, and consultant within a specialized area of nursing practice.

Your role is essential in enhancing patient care, guiding nursing practices, and improving healthcare outcomes through evidence-based strategies.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide advanced nursing care and expertise in your specialty area, assessing and diagnosing patient conditions.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based care plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and coordinating care across the healthcare team.
  • Educate nursing staff and other healthcare professionals on best practices, clinical procedures, and new treatments within your specialty.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research, and data analysis to enhance patient care and nursing practices.
  • Act as a resource for nurses, physicians, and other healthcare providers, offering consultation and support on complex cases.
  • Advocate for patients and families, ensuring they receive comprehensive care and support throughout their healthcare journey.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Stay current with advancements in nursing and healthcare practices, pursuing ongoing education and certification opportunities.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) with a focus on a clinical specialty.
  • Valid state RN license and certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS).
  • Previous experience in a clinical nursing role, with a focus on the specialty area preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills, leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based patient care while maintaining confidentiality.
