The successful candidate will be responsible for warmly welcoming all guests on arrival and managing their timely seating to a table or pick up of prepared foods.
Duties & Responsiblities :
- Maintains a Guest focus while performing duties
- Assumes 100% responsibility for our guests’ lobby or phone experience
- Assumes 100% responsibility for the cleanliness of the lobby and waiting areas
- Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival or upon phone in.
- When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party utilizing tablet app
- Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible
- Respond promptly and courteously to any requests from our patrons
- Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server’s name, inspect table for proper presentation and completeness
- Take food and beverage orders from guests for carry out / delivery, enter orders in our point-of-sale system before taking item to the table.
- Be ready and willing to assist in with clearing and resetting tables
- Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
- Complete opening and closing checklists
- Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, and finalize checks.
- Be ready and willing to assist fellow staff before they ask.
- Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
- Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
- Notify manager-on-duty any time a guest is not 100% satisfied with their experience.
- Clear communication skills are key in this role, as well as ability to adapt / react quickly as needed
Qualifications :
- Be 18 years of age.
- Must posses a positive attitude and work well with other team members.
- Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
- Must be able to work unsupervised.
- Must have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
- Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds.
- Be willing to follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed.
- Be able to work in a fast paced restaurant environment
