Responsibilities

Applies knowledge of telecommunications systems and audio video production techniques, sound slide presentations, and peripheral support equipment to provide robust and fully functional Video Teleconferencing (VTC) capabilities.

As a member of an install team, assists in modifying, installing, testing, evaluating, and operating electrical, electronic, video, audio, computer network or related communication equipment.

Maintains repairs, inspects, and troubleshoots or programs systems, equipment, and components. Reviews, analyzes, or applies technical or maintenance specifications, policies, and standards.

• Interfaces and coordinates with customers regarding system requirements determination, specification alternatives and project solutions.
• Position requires excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills. Position requires ability to climb ladder and lift, carry, move, load and unload heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).

Incumbent will be responsible for using power tools and hand tools. Needs to ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.

Position will be responsible for Wire-wrapping, lacing rack mounting and cable running.

• Installing video teleconference systems and associated cabling
• Documenting installations
• Gathering requirements with customers

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications Education : Degree required. One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
• Associate’s Degree and 5 years experience; or Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years experience; or Master’s Degree and 1 year experience;

or 5 years experience and 2 years specialized training; or 7 years experience. Experience : One (1) year experience with computer technologies, including hardware, network, and software.

Relevant experience includes installing video and / or computer hardware, running cables, and documenting installations. Other Requirements : Security Clearance.

Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data system Desired Qualifications : Experience in the following areas is beneficial : Resolution of VTC issues in a high volume, fast paced environmentInstalling cables, wires and telecommunications equipmentProviding VTC support to multiple work sitesDaily use of a ticketing system to manage workload and end-user assistance.

Troubleshooting of basic IT services, desktop systems, and peripheral devices Skills & Technology Used Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving : Possesses both analytical and interpersonal skills.

Good problem solving, negotiation and organizational skills / techniques.Business Partner / Effective Communicator : English language skills to communicate and negotiate with vendors.

Strong communicator must be able to communicate clearly both in writing and orally.Ability to train, lead projects, direct employees.

Customer service oriented, detail focused, pro-active behavior, multi-task capability.Software : Microsoft Office SuiteExcelOutlookSharePointComputer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment.
