CNA 2 - Medical Surgical 4L Unit at Providence Portland Medical Center. This posting represents a .9 FTE, day shift opening (3, 12-hour shifts a week.

Schedule varies. Every other weekends). with rotating weekends.

In this position you will :

• Contribute to a high functioning team
• Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights
• Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests
• Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient handling devices
• Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, including annual CNA conference
• Other duties as assigned
• The CNA 2 / HUC is a key person within the decentralized nursing unit, who provides overall administrative and technical support in the operation of the unit;

collaborates with other staff and leaders in the development, oversight, and operation of the unit; and performs CNA II patient care duties.

Required qualifications :

• Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course Or Grandfathered to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements.
• Upon hire : Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License
• Upon hire : National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred qualifications :

1 year Experience as a CNA 2.
