Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily care and attention to animals in our care, including feeding, watering, and exercising as per established protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennel areas, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for animals.
- Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians with handling and restraining animals during examinations and procedures.
- Monitor the health and well-being of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff promptly.
- Administer medications and treatments to animals as directed by veterinary staff.
- Assist with bathing and grooming of animals as needed.
- Support clients by answering basic inquiries and providing information about services offered.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Required to Fill this Role
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Previous experience in animal care or veterinary environment preferred but not required.
- Ability to handle and restrain animals in a safe and compassionate manner.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
