Video Production Intern - Job Overview :

Applied Concepts, known for its radar and lidar products used by the law enforcement, traffic safety, and sport industries for over 47 years, is seeking a talented Video Production intern for Fall 2024 and beyond.

This is a part-time position, requiring 10-20 hours per week, with a flexible start date. The role will be hybrid, involving time in our Richardson, TX, office, work-from-home tasks, and travel to various sporting events for on-site filming.

The ideal candidate should have a strong passion for sports, as the primary focus of this position is on marketing for our sports division, Stalker Sport.

We manufacture and sell radar guns used by teams ranging from middle and high schools to major league baseball and beyond.

Our radar guns are used across a variety of sports, including baseball, softball, tennis, pickleball, cricket, track and field, auto racing, and more.

Video Production Intern - How You'll Make an Impact :

As a Video Production Intern, you'll be at the heart of our sports marketing efforts, capturing the excitement and precision of our radar technology in action.

You'll be responsible for producing commercial-style videos that highlight the capabilities of our products, as well as creating engaging social media shorts that captivate our audience.

Your work will help elevate the Stalker Sport brand to resonate with athletes, coaches, and fans. Additionally, you will support our instructional video content, helping to educate users on the proper use of our products.

Your contributions will directly impact our marketing campaigns and help us reach new customers across a variety of sports industries.

Video Production Intern - Qualifications :

• Minimum 2 years of video production experience.
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere (subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud provided).
• Ability to film, edit, and produce both highly-produced, commercial-style videos and social media shorts.
• Capable of creating compelling thumbnails using the software of your choice.
• Ability to collaborate on video concepts with a team and execute them based on provided scripts.
• Must submit an online portfolio of sample videos with your application.

Added bonus if you have :

• Passion for sports and experience in sports-related video content.
• Experience growing social media channels, particularly YouTube.
• Understanding of journalism, copywriting, and / or content writing.

Video Production Intern - What You'll Be Doing :

• Travel to sporting events to film on location, mostly in the greater DFW area
• Collaborate with a creative team to develop video concepts.
• Film and edit instructional videos based on provided scripts.
• Create and edit social media shorts.
• Occasionally contribute to video concept development and scripting.
