Duties and Responsibilities for Human Resources Director :
- Ensure that internal employees have someone to come to who can lend an ear as well as be their voice and advocate with upper management
- Build out existing company files to ensure compliance with local, State and Federal Laws & Regulations
- Direct the integration of all employee files into 'Paychex' HRIS system, once in place (currently being implemented)
- Help to develop and implement developmental training from a compliance perspective, while also being able to provide cultural support to floor level staff members and middle management level employees alike
- Create and implement HR systems and processes in conjunction with Chief of Staff
- Collaborate & 'Brainstorm' with the Chief of Staff, to establish events & programs to support, encourage and reward employees of all levels throughout the organization in order to maintain a high morale within the workplace
- Thoroughly Assess and make disciplinary recommendations for employees as needed
- Benefits administration for existing staff
- Provide Workers Compensation Support & Serve on the Safety Committee
- Responsible for employee onboarding and coordinating initial orientation training
- Act as the main point of contact with our partnering Staffing Agency to bring new candidates in for interviews and subsequent new hire training as it applies
- Advise on and carry out internal employee disciplinary and corrective actions as needed, including and up to terminations Conduct exit interviews and advise on retention strategy Dissect separation reports using data analysis skills to aid in advising on employee turnover
- FMLA and other 'Leave' requests after analysis and administering the proper documentation to support each action as called for
- May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training,
continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment
training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Assist with and play an integral part in any internal employee disputes & investigations
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in
human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications for Human Resources Director :
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality is a must
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations is a must
- Working knowledge and experience with the entire Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, powerpoint etc) required Working Knowledge of G-Suite as well is a plus, but not required
- Working Knowledge and experience with CANVA or other 'Marketing Materials' & 'Content Creation' programs and / or platforms strongly desired
- 3 - 5 years experience in a Human Resources Role strongly preferred
- SHRM-CP certification strongly desired
- Someone who is well versed in and who cares about DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) is a HUGE plus!
- Experience with an HRIS system such as 'Paychex' would be a big plus, but not required
- Having a flexible and adaptable outlook, able to incorporate new information and directives into plans, interacting in a positive and professional manner under conditions of rapid growth and frequent change is a must.
- Having a Passion for the Sport of Golf is Always a Plus, but Not Required

- Flexible Start / End times available after settling into the role
- Potential for working an onsite / remote 'Hybrid' schedule if desired, after settling into the role; As long as it is a set schedule that employees can depend on and ideally a max of 2 days per week working remotely.
Salary Range :
$80,000 - $100,000 / year
