Job Description
The Operations Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of work and materials through the manufacturing process.
This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can support the execution of production schedules and communicate effectively with various departments to meet production goals.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
The Operations Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for the following activities including, but not limited to :
- Monitor products through the production process. Identify bottlenecks and work to implement solutions to improve efficiency.
- Gather and prepare data including excel spreadsheets to support operations visual boards and meetings.
- Support Quality in generation of first article inspection reports (FAIR).
- Support Supply Chain with purchasing receipts (certifications, documentation, etc) scanning into ERP system.
- Support Master Scheduler / Production and development Planners with shop order (SO) printing, assembly, and scanning into ERP system.
- Facilitate 5S activities including management of visual systems and action item closure.
- Assist with standard work as required on the production floor as required.
- Procurement of tools and supplies as required by the production team.
- Proactively monitoring shop order (SO) quality to mitigate quality inspection (QI) turn backs.
- Key point of contact for onsite vendors and service providers.
- Facilitate shipment process and escalate when off track.
- Maintain building supplies (office and breakroom).
- Maintain conference rooms & supplies (including kaizen kits).
- Develop and coordinate operations centric internal and external team building events.
- Active member of the safety committee.
- Working special projects as needed to support operation team.
Requirements :
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- 3 years administrative / office management support experience
- Strong time-management and people skills, high degree of flexibility, and excellent multitasking ability
- Proficiency with office applications, and aptitude for learning new software and systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information.
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Desired skills :
- Prior experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- A desire to learn new skills.
- Experience working with an ERP system such as IFS
- Experience in developing internal systems
- Advanced computer skills and experience with online platforms
