Maintenance Mechanic Apprentice

Position : Maintenance Mechanic Apprentice
Location : Sauk Rapids, MN- will be at the St. Cloud location when needed
Type : Full-time Direct Hire
Hours : Monday- Friday 3 : 00pm 11 : 00pm
Pay : $21.10 / hr. + weekly bonuses
Will train on 1 st shift, then move to 2 nd shift once training is completed

As a Maintenance Mechanic Apprentice, you will receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced professionals, gaining invaluable skills and experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery.

Responsibilities :
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, dismantling, and cleaning of parts, overhead hoists, and conveyor belts.
- Demonstrate general fabrication skills including welding, torch operations, and following simple blueprints.
- Read and understand blueprints and wiring diagrams for diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems.
- Disassemble and diagnose mechanical and electrical failures, performing necessary repairs.
- Adhere to safety protocols and use approved safety equipment.
- Follow Business Process Documentation and actively contribute to Continuous Improvement efforts.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on production machinery to minimize downtime.
Skills and Abilities :
- Maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to read, write, and understand work instructions in English.
- Knowledge of power tools.
- Work effectively in a team.
- Ability to read blueprints and diagrams.
- Frequent bending, stooping, and ability to occasionally lift up to 70lbs.
- Disassemble and diagnose equipment.
- Ability to climb heights of 25ft or more.
- Ability to learn welding, drill press, CNC lathe and mill.
Education / Certification :
- High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
- Prior experience in an industrial or production setting is a plus. Benefits :
