POSITION OVERVIEW
An Ice Rink Server is responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring guests are served delicious beverages timely and accurately.
A warm personality, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate guest needs is vital in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring guests enjoy a memorable and enjoyable cocktail service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary :
- Welcome guests warmly and provide a friendly and approachable demeanor, engaging in courteous and attentive interactions throughout their visit
- Take food and drink orders from guests, accurately inputting them into the system for preparation by the bar staff
- Efficiently deliver food and beverages to guests, ensuring drinks are served promptly and in pristine condition
- Suggest premium or specialty cocktails, as well as additional menu items, to enhance the guests' experience and increase sales
- Engage with guests in a professional and friendly manner, answering questions about the rink, events, and policies, programs, and providing helpful information or directions
- Familiarize yourself with the food menu, cocktail menu, and wine selections, providing insightful recommendations and descriptions to guests
- Monitor tables and seating areas, ensuring they are clean, organized, and set up to accommodate guests comfortably
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately and responsibly, following established cash-handling procedures
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries, address any concerns, and provide assistance as needed to create a positive experience
- Comply with local alcohol service laws and regulations, monitoring guest intoxication levels, and refusing service when necessary
- Set up and distribute s’mores kits to guests, ensuring all necessary ingredients and tools are provided for a fun, interactive experience
- Instruct guests on proper firepit usage and safety protocols, ensuring they understand how to safely roast marshmallows and manage open flames
- Assist in lighting fire pits when requested, ensuring the process is handled safely and efficiently
- Monitor propane levels and change out propane tanks for fire pits as needed to ensure continuous operation
- Work closely with other servers, bartenders, and rink staff to provide seamless service to guests and to handle any special requests, ensuring that guests' needs are met promptly Assist with any special events or promotions happening at the ice rink, such as themed parties, holiday events, or private bookings, by serving drinks and creating a festive atmosphere
- Assist in providing blankets or comfort items to guests in colder environments, ensuring they are comfortable while enjoying their beverages
- Coordinate with rink management to ensure that all safety guidelines are followed, especially in the ice rink environment where safety is a priority
- Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service
- Familiarity with a variety of cocktails, spirits, and wine selections to provide knowledgeable recommendations to guests
- Previous experience as a cocktail server or in a similar guest-facing role preferred
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and members in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in cold environments
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on the lounge's operational needs
- Must meet the legal age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages in your location
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
