Masis Professional Group is assisting our client in searching for a Buyer in York PA to purchase production materials and manage inventory.
Position is temp-to-perm role and 100% onsite.
Salary : $20 to $22 per hour, based on experience
Schedule : Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Acts as primary buyer for production materials.
- Manages supplier development and improvement activities. Analyze opportunities for improvement to processes and costs.
- Receive new and change order from customers. Acknowledge all orders to customers (using their portals if required).
- Initiate contract review, sales / transfer orders and supplier purchase orders. Includes pricing and revision reviews.
- Electronically file documents (attaching to orders in ERP system).
- Manage Vendor Managed Inventory (quantity contracts / consignment) program (creating, managing open agreements.
- Support review of customer delivery schedules.
- Maintain customer and supplier price lists.
- Manage supplier purchase orders : placing, tracking and closing.
Experience and Educational Requirements :
- Prior experience buying / purchasing production materials
- Experience with production management, inventory control, and price lists
- Prior experience with customer support, data entry of orders, purchase orders, and related
- Ability to calculate figures such as proportions, area, percentages, volume, material weights, and production yields.
- Ability to write routine correspondence and reports and to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must have excellent personal computer and data entry skills and background in record-keeping systems.
