Cogir Senior Living is hiring an energetic, creative, and compassionate Resident Lifestyle Assistant (Activity Assistant) in our premier retirement community Cogir of South Bay .

Our Resident Lifestyle Assistant (Activity Assistant) supports the Resident Lifestyle Director in designing, creating, initiating, facilitating, and coordinating various life-enrichment activities for our active residents daily.

What will you do as a Resident Lifestyle Assistant?

• Engage residents one-on-one and in small and large group settings.
• Lead or assist with group and one-on-one social, religious, educational, indoor, and outdoor activities, exercise, and outings.
• Facilitate games, conversations, exercise classes, art and music, trips, and special events.
• Support the coordination of the monthly newsletter.
• Lead assigned activities.
• Encourage resident participation in activities and document outcomes when required.
• Review goals and progress notes.
• Assist the Resident Lifestyle Director as necessary.

If you have these qualifications, we'd love to chat :

• Positive team player attitude and love working with people!
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, patience, and compassion for our residents.
• A minimum of 6-12 months of relevant experience working with seniors and leading life-enrichment activities is preferred.
• Experience with exercise instruction is preferred.
• Experience with memory care is a plus.
• Able to work independently and follow scheduled plans.
• Maintaining composure in stressful situations and always treating our residents with respect and dignity.
• Previous experience working in Independent Living (IL), Assisted Living (AL), Memory Care (MC), or Senior Living experience is a plus!
• A valid state driver's license.
