Job Summary :

Responsible for technology architecture, coordinating the design, implementations and leadership of a distributed operations enterprise.

Oversees the selection, design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the OSU-OKC business application infrastructure.

Provides leadership in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives and processes that provide university stakeholders with instructional technologies and decision making and reporting data.

Experienced in developing Amazon Web Services based database and enterprise intelligence systems. Responsible for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Administrator and provide strategic leadership to increase adoption, ensure governance, compliance and resource optimization.

Primary liaison with various system developers, responsible departments for ongoing and new development, documentation and training of complex systems.

Proactively manages university data and identifies and resolves impediments influencing timely information delivery. Creates and sustains relationships with internal and external partners and ensures that the Enterprise Systems team possesses the necessary knowledge and skills.

Essential Job Functions :

  • Works closely with university departments to determine, assist and provide timely and accurate operational and decision-making data.
  • Ensure availability and understanding of complex data systems necessary to provide accurate information.
  • Provide analysis, design, implementation and maintenance of database applications, server hardware and software installation to support database applications.
  • Directs performance tuning and capacity planning activities to enhance the performance of the network resources.
  • Forecast technology changes impacting demand and reviews analytics of system and network utilization and availability to develop recommendations for future planning.
  • Serve as the primary contact technology contact for the OSU A&M for Banner system operations.
  • Develops complex time-sensitive integrations or similar for campus stakeholders.
  • Develops database-driven services for private and public facing applications as necessary.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint and other enterprise information sharing systems, including site creation, permission granting, and user group maintenance.
  • Provides oversight for enterprise-level instructional technology resources and tools.
  • Develops plans for business continuity, disaster recovery, contract services, and outsourcing arrangements, as appropriate.
  • Provides team leadership and personnel oversight, development and evaluation to ensure trusted support.
  • Prepares recommendations and effectively manages budgets for areas of responsibility. Negotiates technology procurements and contracts.
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with the OSU-System personnel, community partners, and other OSU A&M universities.
  • Completes all mandatory training and participates in a minimum of two professional development each year.
  • Performs other duties assigned.

Education & Experience :

Minimum Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer science, business, or closely related field. Relevant work experience or applicable certificates may substitute for formal education.

Work Experience :

  • Direct administration and technical leadership of integrated CRM platforms.
  • Experience with Ellucian Banner systems and complex system integrations.
  • Minimum of three to five years of SQL and Windows server administration.
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in enterprise / business intelligence systems and / or database management including Microsoft and Amazon Web Services technologies.
  • Minimum of three to five years of progressive experience as a manager / supervisor of small to medium sized enterprise system or development teams.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Experience in server and client virtualization and experience in project planning, implementation and management.
  • Knowledge of local data center design / management and cloud computing. Demonstrated commitment to customer and team-oriented management.
  • Demonstrated management of technical team while providing vision, planning and development to achieve strategic goals.
  • Strong interpersonal analytical, organizational and communications skills.
  • Provide data collection and analysis process and oversight of applicable enterprise applications including design, operations and training.
  • Skilled with object-oriented programming and knowledgeable designing and managing relational databases and network systems.
  • Experience in directing and managing diverse teams and stakeholders to ensure success of multiple competing projects / tasks.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate diplomatically, clearly, and effectively, both verbally and in writing to exchange information, give / receive instructions and respond to inquiries appropriately with all students, faculty, staff and community partners.
  • High degree of initiative to work independently and also collaborate in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of office technologies including but not limited to office computers, fax machines, scanners, internet, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Passion for assisting customers and representing the OSU-OKC and OSU brand with positivity and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated history of ethical and professional behavior.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • 5 years of experience as an enterprise system manager or development supervisor.
  • Master’s degree in management information systems, computer science, business, or closely related field.
  • Previous experience in a university / higher education environment.
  • Prior experience in supporting advanced CRM systems with preference in a university environment.

Working Conditions :

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include some evenings and weekends.
  • Work will be performed in an office environment with a significant amount of public contact, in person, by telephone, via email, and various communication platforms.

Physical Requirements :

  • Duties require extended periods of sitting, talking and listening.
  • Duties require extensive use of computers, telephone and other office equipment.
  • Requires possible lifting of up to 45 lbs (if an object weighs more than 45 pounds, OSU-Oklahoma City requires this to be a two-person lift).
  • Requires proper handling of computers, components and technology equipment, use of both hands in repetitive actions, simple grasping, and fine manipulation.
