Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Full-Time Special Education Teacher (Contract) Lansing, KS

Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers for a full-time school-based position in Lansing, KS. This contract role will focus on a K3rd grade caseload for the upcoming school year.

Requirements

To be considered, applicants must :

Hold all certifications and licensure required by the state of Kansas and local school district regulations

Meet compliance requirements for working in a public school setting

Demonstrate knowledge of IEP development and implementation

Have prior experience working with special education students and collaborating with families (highly preferred)

Job Responsibilities

Typical duties for this role include, but are not limited to :

Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs

Providing direct instructional support to students in small groups or one-on-one settings

Collaborating with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers

Monitoring and tracking student progress toward academic, social, and behavioral goals

Adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs

Communicating regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and goals

Maintaining accurate and timely documentation as required by the district and state guidelines
