Hudson Printing has been serving Salt Lake City area for over 100 years. We are looking to bring in new production workers to expand our growing family!
Hudson Printing is searching for outstanding production workers to work as press assistants, bindery, fulfillment, logistic workers, and mail sorters.
The responsibility of a production worker is to load paper or printed products in machines, assist during machine operation, maintenance, and cleaning while safely operating machines, visually inspect the quality of the product, continuously monitor quality and conditions while maintaining efficiency and minimizing waste.
Production workers are required to continuously lift bundles of paper on and off pallets and use a hydraulic pallet jack.
A successful employee in this position is dependable, self-motivated, responsible, hardworking, and always willing to help when needed, great at communicating, able to work well with others, and maintains good hygiene acceptable for a professional environment.
Must be able to work with little to no supervision and be accountable at all times.
Starting pay is based on relevant experience with the first 90-days as a trial period. Excellent attitude, attendance, and performance lead to continuous pay increases during regular quarterly or biannual performance reviews.
Advancement into a Operator position and even higher if your looking to make a career in the Printing world.
Primary Duties
- Assist machine operators
- Continuously lift and stack paper bundles
- Staging pallets and completed pallets
- Assist with basic maintenance for each job
- Maintain efficiency and minimize waste
- Use a hydraulic pallet jack to move around paper and produced products
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Required Skills & Experience
- Desire to learn and develop machine operational skills. Opportunities for advancement are highly encouraged.
- Excellent attendance record
- Ability to follow verbal / written instructions
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand and move around the work area for long periods of time
- Able to lift and / or move up to 50-85 pounds
- Support company safety policies and encourage employees to work safely
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Available Shifts
Day A-shift Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Every other Wed 6am-6pm
Day C-Shift : Every other Wed Thru, Fri, Sat, 6 AM - 6 PM
Job Type : Full-time
Pay : $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
