QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION : Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management or similar degree
EXPERIENCE : Minimum of five years of experience with site work and utilities
SPECIAL SKILLS :
- Must have strong coordination, time management, active listening, communication, critical thinking, and reasoning skills
- Well organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
- Reliable team player with a strong work ethic and a "will to win" attitude
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, MS Projects, and HCSS Software)
- Deadline-oriented
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Oversee and direct site construction from preconstruction planning to
implementation and closeout for assigned projects.
- Create and maintain project schedules
- Manage the RFI and Submittal process
- Coordinate with Superintendents on material deliveries and schedules.
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
- Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to receive reasonable order costs
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
- Consistently strive to have a safety culture to the highest standard and continually be innovative and forward-thinking
- Preparing and maintaining job costs on a daily / weekly basis and reviewing with project personnel.
- Manages the procurement process, including labor, equipment, and the issuance of material purchase orders, and subcontracts
- Schedule project subcontractors and coordinate their scopes
- Resolves major schedule conflicts to avoid delay, disruption, and profit loss
- Execute monthly closing schedule to include AP and billings
- Assist in completing estimates for future jobs when needed.
- Help develop a scoreboard system for letting Crew Leaders know how their projects are going every week
- Lead internal pre-construction meetings with our team to ensure projects are understood and started correctly
- Negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Prepare and submit proposals to clients
