Title : Payments Gateway and Acquiring Product Manager

Location : Remote within the US

Key Responsibilities :

• Product Strategy & Roadmap :
• Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for the payments for all of Transacts gateway and acquiring services.
• Prioritize features, enhancements, and product innovations based on business objectives, customer feedback, and market trends.
• Align product development with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Market Research & Analysis :
• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive insights.
• Understand industry standards for payments, including PCI compliance, 3DS, SCA, tokenization, and fraud prevention mechanisms.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration :
• Work closely with engineering, design, operations, and sales teams to deliver high-quality payment products.
• Collaborate with external partners, including financial institutions, processors, and third-party providers to integrate new services and features.
• Act as the key liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure product vision alignment.
• Customer Experience & Support :
• Monitor and optimize the end-to-end payment experience for users, improving authorization rates, reducing failure rates, and ensuring a smooth transaction process.
• Collaborate with customer support teams to address issues and improve the overall customer experience.
• Data-Driven Decisions :
• Leverage data analytics to track product performance, user engagement, and transaction success rates.
• Implement A / B testing and other experimentation methods to validate product hypotheses and make data-driven decisions.
• Compliance & Risk Management :
• Ensure the payment gateway complies with regulatory and security standards.
• Identify potential risks in the payment process and work with the risk and compliance teams to mitigate them.

Qualifications :

• Education & Experience :
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of product management experience in payments, fintech, or e-commerce.
• Proven experience with payment gateway systems, payment processing, acquiring and issuing, and card brands.
• Familiarity with API-driven platforms and third-party integrations in the payments space.
• Experience with payment facilitation model and acquiring services.
• Skills :
• Strong understanding of payment protocols (e.g., PCI DSS, 3DS, SCA, etc.).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Aha! or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience with acquiring platforms such as Global, Worldpay, FISERV, etc.
• Knowledge of emerging payment technologies such as alternative payments and digital wallets.
• Technical background in software development, APIs, and system architecture.
• Experience with Higher Education a plus.
