Position Title : Logistics Operator (Shipping & Receiving)

Primary Function :

Ship, receive, transport and store all packaged finished goods and raw materials throughout the plant. Cycle count and perform inventory transactions as directed.

Utilize specialized equipment such as Fork Trucks, strapping equipment, docks, etc. as necessary to perform required job functions and support various plant functional groups

General Duties and Responsibilities :

Accurately receive, maintain, store, supply and deliver material to appropriate locations throughout the plant to support production requirements.

Understand ERP system such as SAP to preform transactions, label printing, and move material to assigned bin location using a RF Scanner.

Perform any and all transactions necessary to maintain accurate inventories of raw materials and finished products.

Mark, identify and prepare materials for shipment.

Maintain accurate paperwork of shipping transactions.

Perform any and all duties as assigned or necessary which are inherent in or part of the general scope of the job, including miscellaneous minor tasks and preventative measures to assure operating efficiency and equipment integrity.

As assigned or necessary, utilize any and all appropriate job related equipment, tools, computers, devices, etc. which are needed or will assist in the performance of assigned duties.

Provide communications and coordination with appropriate Department and Plant personnel as necessary to assure safe and efficient operations.

Ensure conformance to quality standards at all times in performance of job duties.

Prepare, complete, update and maintain all reports, records and documentation as assigned or necessary.

Maintain god housekeeping in work area.

Adhere to all safety standards, rules, procedures and requirements while utilizing proper safety equipment, protective devices, clothing and safe work habits and practices in performance of job duties and while on Company time / premises.

Adhere to all environmental practices, standards, rules, procedures and requirements. As trained, handle all products in accordance with department procedures and regulatory requirements.

Education and / or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) : or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Basic computer skills.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures. Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Valid Drivers License and Forklift Certified required

Minimal Requirements for Logistics Operator Position

HS Diploma or Equivalent

Ability to read and write English

Lift up to 50 pounds individually

Good Math Aptitude. Attention to detail

Basic Computer Skills Some EXCEL, Some WORD

Valid UT DL

Forklift Experience (6mo 1yr)

Ability to work standing for long periods

Flexibility with work schedules
