The District Manager is responsible for the leadership and direction of the convenience stores in their applicable district.
The District Manager ensures the highest level of customer service throughout each assigned store, acts as a role model and leader to all employees, and maximizes the workforce to achieve maximum results.
The District Manager will maximize financial output for their district, successfully initiate new store growth, drive performance of existing stores and demonstrate excellence in operational execution.
The position encompasses customer growth, sales revenue, merchandise presentations, the ability to recruit, develop and retain talent and execution of all corporate initiatives.
Essential Functions
- Leads and provides guidance to Store Managers.
- Ensures performance standards are maintained to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Provides training and staff development with company objectives in mind.
- Implements company initiatives, business plans and budgets in collaboration with the Regional Manager.
- Delivers financial performance in the district by ensuring company policies and procedures are followed.
- Accountable for P&L management, improving the customer experience and driving a culture of coaching, engagement and teamwork throughout the district.
- Drives a customer-centric culture by ensuring that processes, communications and rewards are designed to incent premium customer service.
- Leads store managers to implement best practices, measure operational efficiencies, continuously improve productivity and achieve operational standards of excellence.
- Collaborate with store managers regarding store conditions and expectations, while holding management and team members accountable.
- Maintain a high level of customer service through daily interactions with customers, team members, and vendors.
- Recruit, hire, train and mentor the management staff for the assigned area.
- Administer company policies and develop short and long range goals and objectives.

Responsibilities
- Manages sales and operations for multiple stores.
- Oversees preparation of merchandise placement and displays.
- Works with both vendors and store managers to ensure adequate merchandise and stock of that merchandise.
- Collaborates with store managers on issues of store cleanliness, maintenance, employee hiring, etc.
- Ensures compliance with company policies / procedures.
- Develops short and long term goals for district.
- Maintains costs including payroll budget.
- Manages all loss prevention activities and partners with business partners as needed.
Requirements
- Available to work open schedule as needed and be able to work long hours, holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years' experience in C-Store Management.
- 3+ years' experience in building and managing winning teams.
- Multi-unit management experience a plus.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering profitable results in a customer-centric environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to assess performance using key metrics, quickly identify improvement opportunities, and develop and implement an appropriate action plan to address issues.
