Position Overview :
Primary duties consist of supporting the EHS department at the MLB facility. The function includes, but not limited to managing uniform inventory, issuing, and ordering uniforms and PPE, managing fall protection devices, managing PPE quantities, and conducting other EHS related inspections and activities as directed.
Job Duties :
- Orders uniforms for employees and tracks inventory
- Acts as an EHS focal point for SAP
- Orders all PPE as directed
- Assists in training new employees
- Maintain EHS consumables, and other PPE room inventory
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Review inventory system and usage to determine if items on hand are sufficient quantity to meet manufacturing requirements
- Manage uniform and PPE database and complete periodic audits of equipment and materials
- Maintain required and accurate paperwork
- Develop new and creative PPE and Uniform storage solutions
- All other EHS duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications :
Education :
High school graduate or GED required.
Experience :
Generally, 1-3 years of experience in area of responsibility.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities :
- Demonstrates correct understanding of routine aspects of work.
- IT Tools : MS Office, Internet, SAP, Safety Management Software and Microsoft Outlook
- Detail oriented, accurate, and thorough with maintaining data
- Proficient in Microsoft applications
- Work well with others under pressure
- Demonstrate good problem-solving Skills
Working Conditions / Environment / Special Requirements :
- Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required.
- Must be able to work outside performing EHS activities in both hot and cold environments
- Have the ability to manually lift up to 50lbs
