This position focuses on the financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting of gross margin for the business unit. This is a dynamic and high profile position requiring the successful candidate to utilize a broad range of financial, process, operational and strong communication skills;

combined with strong business acumen. Responsibilities will include revenue and gross margin forecasting and analysis, as well as base cost planning, management and analysis.

The position will work with corporate financial accounting to ensure compliance with all financial reporting requirements.

This role will be a critical thought partner for the Business Unit leadership team and will provide insightful analysis to enable sound business decision making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing financial reporting, analysis and planning support to Business Unit leadership.
  • Assist in providing value-added management reporting on revenue & margin trends and corresponding business issues.
  • Provide guidance to sales on their budgets and financial aspects of their sales compensation.
  • Annual and quarterly budgets preparation, supporting Business Unit Leadership.
  • Forecasting & variance analysis.
  • General Ledger and Profit and Loss review and analysis.
  • Financial Reporting .
  • Various ad-hoc analysis and special projects as assigned.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four years of management experience; four years of management education or training; or some combination thereof.
  • Four years of previous accounting experience; four years of accounting education or training; or some combination thereof.
  • CMA, CPA, MBA a plus.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience with Budgeting, Forecasting, Financial modeling and analysis or Developing.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in various Accounting & Finance functions with management experience.
  • Minimum 4 years in a business analysis and requirements definition.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience developing Operating Plans or Capital Project Budgets with Operational Leaders.
  • Embraces change is a catalyst for change in the business community.
  • Has participated in group work sessions making major decisions regarding workflow, business analysis, implementation planning, and system testing.
  • Highly articulate in both oral and written communication, presentation, persuasion and negotiation to achieve desired result.
  • Can communicate effectively and credibly with all organizational levels, with the specific ability to gain trust, draw out needs, creatively propose ideas, and immediately and expertly resolve conflicts and concerns.
  • Ambitious, flexible, and aggressive. A self-starter who requires minimum supervision and adapts easily to changing work environments and requirements and can drive for results.
  • General knowledge of information technology (networks, operating systems, business applications, web technology, databases).
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Knowledge of Distribution processes and systems a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in Teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus.
  • Ability to adapt and work well in a rapidly changing environment and be a change leader.
  • Can handle many projects as well as ongoing operational responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver while working under time pressure with multiple deadlines
