In this role you will provide technical expertise in manufacturing processes, advanced materials and applications experience specifically in the FDM and PolyJet technologies.

You will get to consult with the project engineering team, sales and customers regarding our manufacturing capabilities and gap analyses.

This role would have you assessing risk and providing solutions on technical challenges from our customers. You would develop, evaluate and improve the manufacturing method and work flow.

This would allow you to interface with multiple departments across the organization and provide data driven analysis on challenging manufacturing issues.

What you will be doing :

  • Work alongside the manufacturing floor personnel and gain in-depth knowledge of entire process
  • Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods and workflow Write and maintain Work instructions, BOMs, process specifications and reports Design tooling and fixtures and provide written instructions and training on their use Help resolve bottlenecks in production
  • Provide data driven analysis to manufacturing issues Implement various reporting tools and / or techniques Assist in communicating data to target audiences and Empower / facilitate response to data findings
  • Interface with suppliers to secure services necessary to meet customer requirements.
  • Support other departments regarding production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes Provide technical support / analysis for QC, non-conformances and CAPAs
  • Assess risk and provide solutions on technical challenges from customers Perform blueprint / drawing / contract review to allow proper planning and inspection
  • Support Operations with local facility initiatives LEAN initiatives Continual process improvement Developing efficiency metrics from physical process variables
  • Perform other tasks as required by Process / Manufacturing Engineering manager

Must have for this role :

Nice to have :

  • 0-2 years combined experience in engineering and / or manufacturing operations with a knowledge of polymer materials.
  • 0-2 years’ experience designing complex 3D parts / mechanical systems in CAD
  • Experience with PPAP (production part approval process), control plans, and design of experiment desired
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles desired
  • Proficiency with Python programming language desired
