Maintains primary financial data for use in accounting records. Classifies, computes, and records financial information. Checks the accuracy of figures and calculations related to business transactions.

May be assigned to moderately complex accounts or business lines. Typically has 3-5 years of experience and works under broad supervision.

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

Duties

• Process accounts payable invoices accurately and timely
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
• Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment inquiries
• Utilize accounting software to manage accounts payable tasks

Minimum Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Computer literacy, including use of Microsoft products.

Additional Qualifications :

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles, processes, and terminology.
• Ability to work independently and work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to visualize, articulate, and solve complex problems and concepts, and make decisions based on available information.
• Ability to use judgment and discretion.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to use a computer and knowledge of standard and specific business applications, such as computerized accounting, e-mail, electronic spreadsheet development, database, and word processing;

ability to learn new software applications.
