Residential Housekeeper - Connery on Providence

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein.

Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by supervisory personnel.

The Housekeeper must be a self motivated individual and be able to complete the assigned tasks with little or no supervision.

May be assigned work at another property in a time of crisis or special need for that property.

• Ensure property appearance meets or exceeds RKW standards at all times including community office, model apartment, amenity areas, etc.
• Perform regular custodial duties around the property and maintain the common areas, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and removing trash.
• Clean hallway lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways and dumpster areas, trash termination rooms, trash chute rooms daily and other work areas so that health standards are met..
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and / or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and / or shampooers.
• Carry toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts.
• Sweep, scrub, wax, and / or polish floors, using brooms, mops, and / or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
• Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
• Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary.
• Remove debris from driveways, and swimming pool areas.
• Report any and all maintenance items which include, but is not limited to, burned out lights, leaks, broken equipment to the Building Maintenance Department.
• Disinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers.
• Dust window blinds.
• Thoroughly clean breezeways by removing cobwebs, bugs in lights, mopping floors and wiping down doors
• Observe all State, Federal and Company safety standards / precautions while performing task in order to maintain a safe work environment.
• Observe precautions required to protect Residents, guests and property, and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors.
• Clean vacant apartments & move out apartments in preparation for marketing and occupancy
• Properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.
• Assist in maintaining records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
• Effectively communicate with residents, guests, visitors and staff as needed
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned

EQUIPMENT USED :

Broom, vacuum, dustpan, sweeper, mop etc.

QUALIFICATIONS :

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS :

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.

Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS :

Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY :

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS :

Basic computer skill and able to browse through SharePoint

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
