Job Summary
Recruits physicians by managing sourcing options (advertising, telephone calls, direct mail, etc.) and collaborating with UMG Chairs / Administrators / Directors on the interviewing and hiring process.
Maintain applicant tracking system database functions. Partners with Sr. Physician Recruiter on advertising and recruitment projects.
Accountabilities
Determines applicant overall qualifications based on Departments needs. Works with designated UMG Department staff to determine initial suitability for interviewing.
Coordinates travel, lodging and community tours for applicants. Facilitates the candidate interview schedule with the Department.
Follows up with candidate and Department to determine suitability and bring closure to process (hire, additional interview, no-hire)
- Consults with UMG Department Chairs / Administrators / Directors to discuss needs, approved positions, recruitment strategies and developing department / job specifications;
- establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives; determines applicant requirements by analyzing job descriptions and position specifications;
maintains current knowledge of open requisitions and accuracy of vacancy lists
- Develops and utilizes effective physician sourcing tools based on specific search and specialty involved. Sourcing tools may include : journal or internet advertising;
- direct telephone contact from purchased lists of potential candidates; use of Prisma Health web-site; interaction with outside recruiters;
selected meetings to meet candidates and other methods that demonstrate effectiveness. Incorporate Prisma Health's Social Media platforms for physician recruitment efforts
Uses applicant tracking system to keep track of candidates from initial identification through the preparation of offer.
Maintain applicant tracking system database by making sure it's running properly. Contacting technical support and Prisma Health's' IS department to solve any issues that are being experienced by users
- Tracks and monitors all expenses according to Physician Services budget guidelines. Reports expenses to Sr. Physician Recruitment
- Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, inservice meetings, current literature and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise
Supervisory / Management Responsibility
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2 years of general recruitment experience

In Lieu Of The Above Minimum Requirements
In lieu of 2 years general recruiting experience, a combination of physician recruiting experience and ASPR certification will be considered
