We are hiring an Inventory Cost Accountant to help us build the future of veterinary care. This is not your traditional accounting role in that you will become a key partner to our clinic teams to build the foundations to reliably track inventory and COGS as we continue to expand.
You will work closely with the supply chain, business operations, and clinical care teams to identify improvements to our systems and processes and to build the foundation of real-time inventory.
We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter with the drive to continuously improve and drive forward cross-functional work.
Key responsibilities will include owning the accounting of the inventory process end to end, working cross-functionally to improve compliance with key inventory operational functions, and assisting with projects to help us achieve real-time visibility into inventory at all of our clinics.
The right candidate will have proficient knowledge of US GAAP, excellent project management and communication skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

We are looking for a candidate that demonstrates an ability to connect the dots between the day-to-day inventory operations and the monthly clinic financial results, while ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
This role is located in Culver City, CA with flexible opportunities to work in office and from home based on requirements of the day to day work.
What you'll be working on :
- Execute the month end close process for costs of goods sold and related account reconciliations to ensure compliance with US GAAP
- Prepare journals, accounts reconciliations, and fluxes
- Evaluate new product requests and set up new products in Netsuite and other financial systems
- Oversee cycle and inventory counts to ensure compliance with industry best practices
- Prepare analyses to recommend pricing adjustments
- Assist with the implementation of new systems, including inventory management
- Assist with accounts payable and three-way matching
- Communicate complex issues to a variety of audiences including both clinical and office staff
- Drive forward the ultimate goal of real-time inventory

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA or progress towards passing the exams, preferred
- 2+ years of public accounting experience preferred

The pay range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
A sign-on bonus and equity grant units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
