Assistant Manager, Events NYC, LA, Miami Full-time Paid*Lox Club is a private, membership-based dating app for Jews with ridiculously high standards.

The idea started as a half-joke after our founder went through a breakup and hated the existing dating apps.

Without spending a dollar on marketing, we were profitable since day 1 and are venture-backed by VCs and celebrities. We have a large waitlist both domestic and international and now have the resources to pour fuel on the fire.

Our north star is to help people find love in non-cringey ways - we weave in some magic with storytelling and mystery (see @loxclub) to create a fun secret speakeasy experience.

The app is designed to feel like a speakeasy hidden within an old school deli.

This app is just the tip of the iceberg. We have big dreams to create more products and experiences. Both digital and in real life.

The Lox Club is like a deli; its culturally Jewish but you dont have to be Jewish to enjoy it. That said, our founders grandmom wants him to meet a nice Jewish girl.

The Role

Lox Club is looking for someone to come on and assist with the execution of all live events in Miami, New York City, and LA.

This role will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of all events from conceptualization stages to final product and everything in between.

They will report directly to the Head of Events and provide all administrative and operational support.

What youll do

• Execute events from top to bottom, coordinate all logistical elements, and facilitate communication with third-party vendors
• Help source venues and event partners
• Work with all types of vendors, including but not limited to photographers, rental companies, entertainment, merch companies, etc.
• Curate event guests lists and handle member communications / questions
• Write copy for event invitations and promotion
• Help design event invitations
• Trouble-shoot technical problems leading up to events and during live events
• Be on-site helping with set-up and dismantling events efficiently to completion.
• Pitch ideas for events and other community initiatives
• Support events team with event data entry and administrative needs
• Manage event deadlines, timelines, and deliverables
• Work closely with the Marketing, Partnerships, and Engineering teams
• Understand and maintain events budget

Requirements :

• Minimum 2-4 years event planning experience
• Must live in LA, NYC, or Miami
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong technical skills
• Witty communication skills
• Proven ability to multi-task and problem-solve
• Pays close attention to detail
• Must be available in the evening and on weekends to work events
• Empathy is key with this role because it involves fielding feedback and bringing people together
• Strong network but not caught up in the scene
• Creative and original - thinks outside the box
• Social butterfly; friendly and approachable
• Team player : low ego, positive energy, takes initiative
• Understands the chaotic startup lifestyle
