Family Support Specialist
Onondaga Family Support for Student Success

FULLTIME : 40 hours, nonexempt
Coordinated Care Services Inc (CCSI) seeks talented Family Support Specialists to contribute their expertise in providing essential business services to our provider organizations and customers.
The Family Support Specialists work directly with families, people who work for the Syracuse City School District, and people in the community to find and get rid of barriers to student performance.
CCSI is partnering with to hire Family Support Specialists. This position is employed by CCSI and working on behalf of Onondaga County Children and Family Services.
In this role, you will be
- Working jointly with collaborative partners to support family-led goals and coordinate school-based services and support for youth and their families
- Facilitating planned intervention and collaborative problem-solving with students, families, school personnel, and community partners
- Providing goal-driven service planning, school-based assessment, planned intervention, supportive counseling, case management, and ongoing documentation
- Empowering clients by using clients’ strengths and informal support networks in service delivery.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
A minimum of a BA / BS in a human services-related field with 3 years of related experience and / or advanced hours or training is required.
MSW / MA is preferred.
Additional
- Satisfactory completion of all required background screenings.
- The position requires a valid Class D New York State Driver's License and access to a motor vehicle insured with $, liability coverage to meet the transportation requirements of the position.
