Principal Service Solutions is hiring EHS Engineers in Hillsboro, OR that will help with safety in a manufacturing fab / cleanroom pressure controlled environment.
We are searching for safety minded people who have experience working in environments such as manufacturing cleanroom environments / construction / industrial / lab / or plant environments.
You will be responsible for safety management, ensuring company safety and compliance policies are being followed and maintained by employees inside the manufacturing plant.
You will be walking around the facility in a pressure controlled environment wearing PPE. This is a full-time position with full benefits! Our benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and paid holidays.
Pay Rate : $35.00 / hr to $40.00 / hr DOE Shift : The work will be primarily day shift, Mon-Fri, with the potential for occasional shifting of schedule to support the local teams.
Job Description : The EHS Engineer supports the implementation of EHS procedures within the applicable business units, serving as the interface between the units and the EHS organization by performing safety management, audit, and inspection for customer sites to ensure the compliance with government, customers, and all EHS policy, processes, and procedures Implements, monitors, and evaluates compliance with company environmental health and safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Provides regular feedback and effective corrective actions to affected work groups. Coaches employees at all levels of the organization to drive awareness and understanding of EHS requirements.
Responsible for developing, maintaining and reporting on KPI's to applicable business unit and local EHS. Responsible for maintaining communication and awareness across shifts and within immediate work teams.
Selects, procures, and maintains necessary inventory of personal protective equipment, conducts EHS inspections to identify potential hazards and make recommendations to reduce risk of injury and environment impact, monitors hazardous waste removal vendors, creates and delivers health and safety training, facilitates safety committees, provides safety input regarding management of change activities.
Create, edit, and implement Job Hazard Analysis, Investigate EHS incidents and assists investigation team in root cause analysis.
Supports the implementation of workplace ergonomics and program solutions and collects industrial hygiene samples as needed under the direction of site EHS management.
Participates on the site emergency response team. Ensures compliance and regulatory practices are followed as required by OSHA.
May need to assume duties of other EHS team members as needed during sickness, vacation, and other absences. Collaborate with site groups to institute controls and remedial measures for hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions and equipment.
Be available and seek out opportunities to improve including gaining feedback from all levels of the organization. Other tasks as assigned by EHS Manager.

Must be able to work a flexible work schedule as needed. Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office Suites. Capability to learn new software systems as needed.
Ability to receive and action feedback to drive improved performance. Minimum Qualifications and Requirements : 1-3+ years experience working in a safety role with responsibilities regarding EHS tasks.
Or zero experience with a Bachelor's or Associates degree in an EHS related field. OSHA Safety Certifications / Safety Classes / COHE / LOTO.
Experience creating safety reports and presenting. Manufacturing / Lab / Plant / Cleanroom / Construction / Industrial backgrounds with safety experience.
Working with or experience handling hazardous materials.
