Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Forensic Psychiatrist at Georgia Regional Hospital Atlanta, located in Decatur, Georgia.
Job Description
- Treat inpatient forensic patients; conduct clinical assessments; prescribe medication; handle medical emergencies; document progress notes;
- develop treatment plans and transition planning; develop after-discharge care plans; participate in competency evaluations and court testimony as needed;
and prepare and submit case reports or summaries to government or mental health agencies.
