is the place for you! We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to develop electrical plans and specifications for architectural projects throughout North America using our new, groundbreaking software platform, AI for MEP®.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate with the client, the MEP / FP / IT design teams, and other consultants to ensure the design is consistent with the client’s vision, to identify and resolve areas of conflict, to ensure a fully coordinated interdisciplinary design, and to ensure the design schedule is maintained.
  • Participate in meetings and conference calls when necessary.
  • Become familiar with the codes that are applicable to the project.
  • Use AutoCAD and other software to create electrical construction document packages which include plans include : electrical distribution equipment, devices (receptacles, etc.

equipment connections, luminaires, controls, fire alarm initiating devices and notification appliances, all associated circuitry, appropriate schedules and details, one line / riser diagrams, and construction specifications.

  • Perform all required calculations to support design decisions, including load calculations, short-circuit calculations, and photometric calculations.
  • Coordinate with local utility companies to provide the required utility services to the project.
  • Coordinate with equipment vendors and manufacturer’s representatives for selection and specification of appropriate equipment.
  • Provide construction administration (CA) services, including answering requests for information (RFIs).
  • Provide mentoring and guidance for colleagues.

What We Are Looking For :

  • In possession of an ABET-accredited degree in Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis or Electrical Engineering with a focus in power systems.
  • Five or more years of electrical design experience with an MEP / FP engineering consultant.
  • Advanced proficiency with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm & Signaling Code).
  • In possession of Engineer-Intern (EI) credentials in Electrical Engineering.
  • In possession of or ability to obtain, Professional Engineer (PE) credentials in Electrical Engineering.
  • Exceptional communication and organization skills, including ability to prioritize tasks and multitask.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently upon receiving necessary direction and information.
  • Thrive in fast-paced environments coupled with a desire to work efficiently.
