Qualifications
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, information technology, business, or other relevant technical field
- 3+ years experience in engineering or technical program analysis for defense or maritime programs
- Proven ability to coordinate, communicate, and act across multiple government and industry stakeholders, with the ability to simplify complex problems and make actionable recommendations
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Power Point to analyze data and eloquently communicate to decision makers
- Current DoD security clearance - minimum Secret, with the ability to maintain it throughout employment
Desired Qualifications :
- Experience working on submarine or undersea related programs
- Experience in Navy or maritime infrastructure or logistics, including civil or infrastructure engineering
Responsibilities
The Systems Engineer will provide analytic and engineering support to the Logistics branch of the COLUMBIA Class SSBN program, focusing on the development and execution of infrastructure and life cycle sustainment plans for the next generation of ballistic missile submarine.
The Systems Engineer will apply an understanding of submarine logistics, civil engineering, maritime logistics, or other relevant background to proactively manage new initiatives, coordinate stakeholders, and drive projects to completion.
Additionally, the Systems Engineer will translate complex technical problems into leadership-ready briefs, including briefs to clients and senior leadership on analytic findings and progress.
This position is primarily located in Washington DC Navy Yard, with potential for light telework and local travel to client sites.
