Qualifications : Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET Accredited University
- Six () years of practical application of mechanical facilities engineering, including HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, and related mechanical facilities systems
- EIT / FE completion required Ideal candidate will also possess :
- Two () years of experience working with complex semiconductor manufacturing tools either their manufacture, installation, or use in cleanrooms
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Oregon highly desired, actively pursuing licensure required
- Proficient working knowledge of AutoCAD and Navisworks software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Forward-thinking, eager to learn best practices and contribute with innovative ideas
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-discipline design teams
- Passion for buildings and construction
- Two () years field experience Responsibilities : Facilities Mechanical / HVAC Engineer Associate Level As a Facilities Mechanical Engineer in Corvallis, OR you will work on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ manufacturing.
You and the other team members will work closely with client owners in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents for the installation of complex manufacturing tools.
Responsibilities include design oversight for piping and ducting for equipment heating, cooling, exhaust, and process chemicals and gasses for extensive tools in some of the most complex, densely packed industrial facilities on the planet.
The design may include retrofit of existing building systems to accommodate tool installation including engineering calculations, equipment and component sizing, selection, and specification, and support during construction and integration into the factory.
As the mechanical representative on a multi-discipline design team, you will work directly with other Jacobs design staff, client equipment owners, researchers, and equipment manufacturers of next generation and prototype tools to build utility requirement documents to allow the development of installation design packages.
You may also provide technical training, quality check designs, and assist directly with the more complex portions of the design process.
You may have PE stamping responsibility for the designs. You will interact directly with clients and contractors to assist with construction on site.
