Manager, Scientific Applications Support - NGS

This position is part of the Scientific Applications Support team located in the United States of America and will be fully remote.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to :

• Supervise and direct NGS Scientific Applications Support associates, including employee hiring, training, evaluation, and discipline.
• Develop support staff to deliver personable, responsive support with in-depth technical expertise in NGS products and applications.
• Model and demonstrate superb, proactive customer technical support to key or strategic accounts as part of a cross-functional team.
• Take ownership of escalated problems, complaints, and personnel issues.
• Provide guidance and specific feedback to assist with employee projects, problem solving, and professional development.
• Evaluate and implement new or improved technical support processes and workflows for NGS applications; work with global SAS management to coordinate across sites and business units as needed.
• Identify, monitor, and analyze performance measures to make recommendations to upper management regarding staffing requirements, efficiency improvements, and performance standards.

The essential requirements of the job include :

• Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Biology, Chemistry, Bioinformatics or related field
• Previous experience in Scientific Applications Support- NGS role, or equivalent scientific support role.
• Demonstrated expertise in NGS technology and applications, with at least 5 years in the genomics or NGS industry.
• Capable of understanding and articulating complex scientific, interpersonal, regulatory, and business issues.
• Ability to probe skillfully to get the facts when others are averse to providing detailed information.
• Accepting responsibility for the direction, control, or planning of customer-facing technical support activities.
• Ability to proactively make decisions and take ownership in a changing environment and anticipate future needs.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in :

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in n Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Biology, Chemistry, Bioinformatics, or related field
• Previous management or leadership experience years in a scientific support or applicable role (1-3 years preferred).
• Technical relationship management with key or strategic partners.
• Demonstrated success as part of a cross-functional project or customer support team.

The salary range for this role is $100,000 - 120,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.

We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus / incentive pay.
