Mechanical Design Eng II

Job Description :

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Eng II for a very important client.This engineering role will be supporting our PFAS project team The primary responsibility will be supporting CAD work This includes updating and redesigning drawings and models to accommodate PFAS material changes This person will also work with other engineers and technicians to support validation activities related to these design changes.

What are the 3-4 main responsibilities / day to day activities that the contractor would be responsible for : Working with cross function PFAS team as Design Subject Matter ExpertUpdating CAD models and drawings for PFAS changesTroubleshooting design issues and providing solutionsCoordinating validation activities with technicians and engineers Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned Researches, plans, designs, verifies, validates and develops mechanical and / or electromechanical products and systems, such as metals, instruments, controls, plastics, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, resonance, hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy Recommends various technology options or approaches for system, processes, facility or program improvements in terms of safety, performance, efficiency or costs May be responsible for the transfer from R&D to manufacturing SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM : Typically an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty Delivers and / or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects from design to implementation while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education (typically University).

Requirement :

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities. Top 3 technical skills that are required for the role : Proven CAD experience (preferably Creo)GD&T experienceExperience with injection molding in the medical device industry highly desired Years’ Experience Required : 2+ years Ability to troubleshoot design issuesDevelop and evaluate designs which meet defined product requirementsproven experience with CAD software such as Creo Nice To Have Knowledge of FDA and ISO 13485 : 2003 to manage medical device materials, related processes, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)Understanding and experience in injection molding of medical devices, thermoplastic part design, engineering, and testing DIFFERENTIATING FACTORS Autonomy : Established and productive individual contributor Works independently with general supervision on larger, moderately complex projects / assignments Organizational Impact : Sets objectives for own job area to meet the objectives of projects and assignments Contributes to the completion of project milestones May have some involvement in cross functional assignments Innovation and Complexity : Problems and issues faced are general, and may require understanding of broader set of issues or other job areas but typically are not complex Makes adjustments or recommends enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area Communication and Influence : Communicates primarily and frequently with internal contacts External interactions are less complex or problem solving in nature Contacts others to share information, status, needs and issues in order to inform, gain input, and support decisionmaking Leadership and Talent Management : May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and / or employee in Support Career Stream Required Knowledge and Experience : Requires practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience Requires a University Degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.
