Accepted candidates will work closely with teammates in 3 major areas :
Software Engineering teams focus on the development of software solutions to support researchers in our Regulatory, Crop Health, Seed Product Development, and BioTech platforms.
You will be continuously learning and working as an agile team with other interns to design, develop, and support high-performance software for R&D.
The Data Engineering and IT Systems team supports internal systems, data repositories, and compute platforms used throughout R&D.
This includes developing high-level data strategies, supporting cloud and on-prem computing, advising and enforcing application security, providing internal tools to developers, and validating software systems.
The Product Development team designs and builds customer-facing digital solutions to maximize value for farmers and advisors.
Our work helps fuel and expose Corteva’s scientific innovation.
Responsibilities What You’ll Do
Collaborate with other developers, product managers, designers, and data scientists to design and develop performant and scalable web and mobile applications.
Work within a high-performing engineering team to iterate on ideas and see them become live, user-facing features that are battle-tested and built to professional production-readiness standards.
Continuously learn and share your technical knowledge.
Work collaboratively on agile software teams to create innovative software solutions for R&D systems.
Design, develop, and support a variety of high-performance software solutions.
Qualifications
Qualifications What You’ll Bring :
Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree program in computer, information technology, or a related engineering field.
Possess excellent problem-solving skills using creative approaches.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams and business partners.
Hands-on experience with object-oriented languages and web development technologies.
Not required, but preferred technology experiences : Python, React, Angular, Typescript, C#, .Net, RESTful API Services, AWS, Azure, and SQL.
Minimum 3.0 GPA.
Good in-depth understanding of an operating system, either Windows or Linux.
Experience in AWS cloud services
Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)
Experience with Atlassian tools, Microsoft Power Platform, GitLab
Experience with cybersecurity, including authentication, authorization, and application security.
Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, or containerization.
Interested in developing high-performance, user-friendly web and mobile applications in a fast-paced, team environment.
Demonstrates curiosity and willingness to delve into complex problems.
Excellent teamwork, communication (oral and written), and collaboration skills.
Passionate about customer experience.
Bonus Points for Experience or Familiarity with :
Agriculture
AQL and / or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
JavaScript or TypeScript and web UI frameworks such as Angular, React, and Vue.
Software development life cycle processes or Agile development.
Analysis and visualization of geospatial datasets.
CI / CD practices and Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform.
