Swiss-army knife type technician position. Technician could end up performing any number of tasks. Examples of the kind of tasks are as follows : assembling large tooling structures, using two-part epoxies for bonding, assembling small / delicate mechanical flight hardware, working with and assembling composite structures, sewing / stitching mesh fabric.
Based on the job description what does a typical day look like? Using assigned work instructions and assembly drawings to perform an assortment of Technician tasks (see above).
Knowing and understanding how to read blueprint type assembly drawings is a big plus.
The top 3-5 skills / technologies and qualifications required?
1) Knowledge and experience with all common mechanical hand tools.
2) Knowledge and experience with fasteners and torquing mechanical fasteners.
3) Ability to read and understand blue-print style mechanical drawings.
