Job Title : Senior Systems and Network Administrator Location : Suffolk, VA (Hybrid, on site 1-2 days per week) Position Type : Full-Time Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Systems and Network Administrator to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and maintaining complex IT infrastructure, with extensive experience in Windows Server environments, Active Directory, virtualization, storage solutions, and network security.
This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our IT systems.
Key Responsibilities : Server Management : Build, configure, and maintain Windows Server 2012 / 2016 / 2019 in a large enterprise environment.
Storage Administration : Implement and support NetApp storage solutions, perform upgrades, and manage data migrations. Active Directory Administration : Maintain complex Active Directory environments, including multiple domains and forests.
Virtualization : Manage and configure VMware environments, including ESXi hosts and virtual machines. Perform physical to virtual (P2V) migrations and automate processes using PowerShell and PowerCLI scripts.
Network Management : Implement and manage DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. Optimize server performance and network capacity.
Security Compliance : Ensure systems are compliant with STIG and IAVA requirements. Administer and enforce security policies using tools such as Juniper Radius and Centrify.
User Support and Troubleshooting : Provide high-level troubleshooting support for network, server, and application issues.
Develop and maintain documentation for support procedures. Project Management : Lead and participate in IT projects, such as virtualization rollouts, Active Directory migrations, and security enhancements.
Qualifications : Education : Bachelor’s degree in Applied Computer Science or related field. Certifications : Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist : Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Configuration VMWare Certified Professional (VCP), VSphere 4 / 5 NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) Certified SAFe 4 Practitioner CompTIA Security+, A+, Network+, and i-Net+ Experience : Minimum of 10 years of experience in systems and network administration, with a focus on enterprise environments.
