LARGE MANUFACTURING PLANT IN FONTANA CA IS LOOKING FOR A PLC CONTROLS TECHNICIAN FOR THE 1ST SHIFT.
MON-FRI 8AM-5PM AND SOME SATURDAYS AS WELL
PAYS $35-$40 HOURLY
NEED TO BE STRONG WITH PLCS (DONT NEED TO KNOW HOW TO PROGRAM)
MUST BE OUT OF A FAST PACED MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT
Controls Technician
This Senior Electrician role requires an experienced manufacturing and process-based Electrician well versed with Allen Bradley and Siemens platforms and an expert with Drives (VFD’s and Servo).
Other essential functions include ability to :
- Retrofit obsolete Drives to new series.
- Set up and tune Drives.
- Use PLC to solve machine and process problems in real time.
- Read large hardwire schematics.
- Upload / download programs.
- Troubleshoot and replace contactors, relays, analog sensors, fuses, etc.
- Locate and procure electrical spare parts.
- Cross reference and standardize parts.
- Maximize Production uptime and root cause analysis improvements.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Controls experience working with Drives (VFD’s and Servo).
- Electrical background within a manufacturing environment required.
- Experience monitoring and troubleshooting PLC’s, HMIs, Encoder and Analog feedback.
- Experience with Heating, temperature-based sealing systems and troubleshooting motors.
- Experience with Bar code scanners and systems.
- Excellent general electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with multiple Drive types is a big plus.
- Experience in paper, film, foil, corrugated, printing a big plus.
