As the Actuarial Director (Chief Actuary) at Eagan Insurance, you will lead the actuarial department in assessing financial risks, setting premium rates, and supporting strategic financial planning.

This position requires expertise in statistical analysis and insurance modeling to ensure the company's products are competitively priced and financially sustainable.

You will collaborate with underwriting, finance, and product development teams to enhance company profitability and align actuarial functions with Eagan's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Risk Assessment and Pricing : Develop and maintain pricing models and risk assessment methods for insurance products, ensuring they align with company goals and regulatory standards.
  • Financial Forecasting and Analysis : Conduct financial projections, reserve evaluations, and profitability analyses to support strategic planning and financial performance monitoring.
  • Policy Development : Advise senior management on policy development, focusing on risk management, capital requirements, and investment strategies.
  • Compliance and Reporting : Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, producing actuarial reports and disclosures as required.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting : Utilize advanced data analytics to interpret trends, identify emerging risks, and recommend data-driven adjustments to policies.
  • Team Leadership : Lead and mentor a team of actuaries, supporting their professional growth and ensuring high-quality actuarial services.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or equivalent designation required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of actuarial experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of actuarial principles, financial modeling, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in actuarial software and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
